How we handle your data
The short version: we collect what we need to answer your enquiry, analytics only run if you accept them, and we never sell your details.

What we collect and why
Quote requests. When you send the quote form we receive the details you type: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, driver's age, your dates, pick-up point and car type. We use them to reply with your price and to arrange the hire if you go ahead. The form reaches our team by email through our email delivery provider, Resend, and a copy is kept on our own server in the EU. Your details are not sold, shared for marketing or added to mailing lists.
Where you came from. If you arrive from an advert or another website, your browser remembers which one for the visit, and the quote form passes that on with your enquiry, so we know which adverts work. It is forgotten when you close the tab.
Calls, WhatsApp and email. If you contact us directly we keep the correspondence so we can handle your booking. WhatsApp messages are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms.
Server logs. Like almost every website, our server keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and analytics
Analytics never run until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help visitors. If you decline, no analytics load at all, and the site works exactly the same.
Google Analytics records the pages you view and actions such as asking for a quote or tapping call or WhatsApp. It never receives your name, email address or phone number.
Your cookie choice itself is remembered in your browser so the banner does not keep asking. You can change your mind any time with the link, also at the bottom of every page.
What we never collect here
The website takes no payment and stores no card details. An enquiry is not a booking: a real person replies with your price, and you pay on delivery, in cash or by card. No credit card is needed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@maltaecarhire.com and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.
