This is the one part of town where parking takes patience. White lines are free but scarce near the front; the streets uphill from the seafront are your friend. If your hotel has a garage, use it and treat the car as your day-trip machine.

Everywhere is 40 minutes away
From the seafront you can reach Valletta in 15 minutes, Mdina and the west-coast beaches in about 30, and the Gozo ferry in around 45. Unlimited km means a different corner of the island every day costs nothing extra.
